BUSINESS ECONOMICS AND ORGANIZATION (Polimi, BSc in Computer Science)


Semester: Spring Semester

The course aims to provide the fundamental knowledge needed to understand a firm’s objectives and behavior, analyze the environment in which it operates, evaluate its performance, and support management decision-making. To this end, it introduces the main types of firms and markets, the basic concepts of organizational theory and organizational design, the essential techniques of managerial accounting, the principal economic-financial indicators, and the analysis of both short- and long-term decisions. The course is delivered through a mix of lectures, case workshops focusing on high-tech firms, and classes in collaboration with exectives.

TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION AND RESILIENT REAL ESTATE (Polimi, MSc Management in the Built Environment)

Semester:  Fall Semester

Role: Teaching Assistant

The course aims to provide knowledge about different building types, along with methods and instruments that represents the basis for appropriate management of the built environment according to different real estate functions. Students are guided in learning about typological characteristics, space distribution, functional zoning, and construction aspects of buildings. Specific attention will be dedicated to hybridization of functions, as a recognized trend in the real estate market. This will help the trainees acquire the skills needed to analyse and manage different types of buildings.

Supervision

​

I enjoy supervising students at all levels: internships, bachelor’s, master’s in several curricula present at POLIMI. The theses I supervise typically draw on organizational theory and use both quantitative and qualitative methods to explore topics related to future of work, workplace management, and innovation management. I am open to supervising projects in any setting but have a particular interest in knowledge-intensive organizations or startups.

  • Financial evaluation of office-to-housing conversions in Italy

  • Exploring the potential of metaverse for corporate real estate: evidence from Made-in-Italy companies

  • How working from home during the Covid-19 pandemic affects knowledge workers' productivity : an econometric analysis on Italian male and female academics”

  • The implications of COVID-19 on workplaces as an opportunity: Mondadori case study”.



In addition, between 2024-2025, I supervised MBA final projects work for the POLIMI GSOM – Politecnico Graduate School of Management, mostly related to business ideas related to the real estate industry.
